The following section describes how the sample projects apply A2iA Zone Locator methods to locate items on documents. They contain all necessary settings to test the extraction results in Project Builder. This helps you to understand the functionality and then to design your extraction strategy for your special needs.

Two zip archives provide sample projects for the A2iA Zone Locator:

• A2iACheckReader.zip

• A2iAFieldReader.zip

Before getting started, extract the zip archives.

Two folders are available for A2iA CheckReader:

A2iA Check Reader

This folder contains a sample project file: A2iA Check Reader.fpr. This project is adapted for documents that basically consist of checks and deposit tickets.

Documents

This folder contains a document set for testing.

Three folders are available for A2iA FieldReader:

A2iA Field Reader

This folder contains a sample project file: A2iA Field Reader.fpr. This project is adapted for documents where entire words and/or phrases should be matched instead of recognizing words character-by-character. A typical use case is the recognition of cursive handwriting.

Dictionaries

This folder contains .txt files used as dictionaries.

Documents

This folder contains a document set for testing.

After extracting the zip archives, you can create a simple project using a sample.
