Table field details

The field details are displayed when a table field Project Tree - Field iconProject Tree - Table Field icon is selected in the Project Tree.

The following options are available.

Important Only Table Locator, Line Item Matching Locator, and Standard Evaluator locator methods support table fields.
General

This group has the following options:

Locator

The locator method for the selected table field is displayed here. A clickable link enables you to open the locator details. The value for this option is set to <none> by default.

You can select a different locator method if desired, but this then affects the extraction settings already configured for your field.

Table model

Choose a table model from the list. You can create table models in the Project Settings - Tables tab. The value for this option is set to <none> by default.

After the table model is selected, the table columns are populated.

Use for statistics

Recognition accuracy statistics are available at field level. The statistics database contains information about this recognition accuracy. Use this option to gather statistical information about the selected field. This option is selected by default.

Each row in the table model is represented in a table with the following columns:

Column

Displays the default header caption of the column as specified in the table model.

You can configure the caption of the column header in the Project Settings - Tables tab.

Formatting

For each column, you can choose a field formatter from the list of available field formatters. The selected formatter is applied to every cell in that column after extraction and also when the validation user confirms a cell from this column.

Click on the button to access the properties of the selected formatter so that you can modify it as needed.

Note To be able to calculate the sum of the cells for a table column, you need to select an Amount Formatter that determines that the cell value is a double value.
Confirm

Select to force the user to confirm the value for this column for each row by pressing Enter in the Validation module.

Always Valid

Select this option if manual confirmation for the column is never required during validation.

Reread

The reread option enables zone recognition for a field using a specialized recognition profile. For example, recognizing an amount using a numeric profile. As a precondition, extraction needs a valid cell location from the table locator.

By default, rereading is not performed. To enable this option, select a recognition profile from the list in the Reread column. The result of the zone recognizer replaces the original result if the minimum reread confidence that is set in the Reread Options group is reached. This confidence is set globally for all columns regardless of the selected profile.

Click on the button to open the properties of the selected recognition profile so that you can modify it as needed.

Note In addition, the <FieldName>_AfterCellReread script event is available to control what value is used as the cell result.
Validation

This group has the following options:

Table sum column

Select a table column from the list if you want to calculate the sum of the cells for that column. This is commonly used to calculate the sum of all line items total value in an invoice table. The value for this option is set to <no table sum> by default.

Important You need to select amount formatters in the column settings that determine that the cell values are double values.

In a validation rule this sum can then easily be compared to the subtotal of the invoice. If you do not need a table sum, select <No table sum>.

Allow empty tables

Select the check box if a table on a document may be empty. By default it is not selected. This option is cleared by default.

Reread Options

This group has the following options:

Minimum confidence to accept reread result

The minimum confidence value is used for all columns that have rereading enabled. The value for this option is set to 70 by default.

Recognition Profiles

Click this button to open the Project Settings - Recognition tab window to change the settings of an existing profile or to add additional profiles.
