Modify a dictionary

Before you can use a dictionary in a locator, formatter or validation method, you need to add it to the project. However, over time, changes may occur to either the project or the dictionary, and modifications are required.

You can modify a dictionary by following these steps:

  1. On the Project tab, in the Configuration group, select Project Settings Project Settings icon.
  2. Click the Dictionaries tab to view the dictionary settings.
  3. Select the dictionary to be modified.
  4. Click Properties.

    The Dictionary Options window is displayed.

  5. Update the referenced import file if necessary.
  6. Update the Import Options if needed.
  7. Update the Auto Replacement Text options if needed.
  8. Optionally, select or clear Automatic update from import file.
  9. Click OK to save your settings.
  10. Optionally, click OK to close the Project Settings window.
  11. Save the changes to your project.
