Structural Anchor Settings

This group is available only if "Anchor types" is set to Structural.

This group has the following options:

Available structural anchors

Select one of the structural anchors from the list. The list of structural anchors can include lines, boxes, crosses, fold marks, or corners.

The structural anchor elements found in the drawn anchor zone are listed as options. In the Anchor Search Zone viewer on the right side of the window, the structural anchor alternatives are displayed and highlighted. By default, the first option is selected, and the corresponding alternative is highlighted in green, while other alternatives are blue. Select the desired anchor from the list.

Note When two or more structural elements with identical dimensions are detected in the defined anchor zone, these anchor elements are discarded and not listed in the Available structural anchors list. Anchor elements must be unique and may exist only once in the defined zone to become available for selection.
Minimum width

Adjust the width value to ensure that the anchor can be found within the selected anchor zone. The value for this option is set to 15.0 mm by default.

Minimum height

Adjust the height value to ensure that the anchor can be found within the selected anchor zone. The value for this option is set to 15.0 mm by default.

Minimum confidence

Adjust the confidence of the anchor detection by defining a threshold value. This defines the accuracy of the element found on the document compared to the defined structural anchor. The value for this option is set to 90% by default.

Can intersect border

This option applies to anchors based on lines, not boxes. The configured confidence is ignored at runtime when the selected anchor element intersects one or more border.

Select this option to enable structural elements to intersect the border of the anchor zone. Clearing this option reduces the number of structural anchors found in the anchor zone. This option is selected by default.

Graphic Anchor Settings

This group is only available if "Anchor types" is set to Graphic.

This group has the following option:

Minimum confidence

Adjust the confidence of the anchor detection by defining a threshold value. This defines the accuracy of the element found on the document compared to the defined structural anchor. The value for this option is set to 70% by default.

Text Anchor Settings

This group is only available if "Anchor types" is set to Text.

This group has the following options:

Anchor text

The text found in the drawn anchor zone is displayed as a recognition result, case-sensitive and without delimiters. In the Anchor Search Zone (Reference Document) viewer on the right side of the window, the anchor zone is displayed, and the text is highlighted.

Refresh Anchor Results

This button becomes available whenever a change is made to the text anchor that might affect the recognition results. For example, if you modify the anchor zone width, height, page, image cleanup profile or the recognition profile, you need to refresh the recognition results for the text anchor. The Anchor text field is deactivated until you press Refresh Anchor Results.

Recognition profile

Select a recognition profile from the list. If the selected zone recognition profile is not suitable for the anchor, an warning is displayed.

Locator Anchor Settings

This group is only available if the "Anchor types" is set to Locator.

If you want to narrow the results further, use the right down arrow to select one of the following testing modes.

  • Run Only '<Locator>'

  • Run All Dependent Locators and Evaluators used as Input

  • Run All Previous Locators and Evaluators

Run text recognition on Reference Document

Before you can test your anchors, OCR is needed. If you have not run OCR, click this button.
