Specify bar code length restrictions

If a document contains more than one bar code, it is possible to restrict the results to a specific bar code based on its length by following these steps:

  1. Open the locator properties.
  2. On the General tab, in the Length group, select Restrict length.

    Two additional options are now available to let you specify the minimum and maximum length of a bar code.

  3. Specify the Min. length, enter the minimum number.
  4. To specify the Max. length, enter the maximum number.
  5. Open a test document and click Test to test your settings.
  6. Optionally, click Close to close the locator properties window.
  7. Save the changes to your project.
