Keep the original image with the output
By default after Interpret is run, Kofax ReadSoft Invoices creates new image files for invoices based on the settings in the job description and stores them in either the INVOICES\Images\ident or INVOICES\Images\error directories.
You can also specify that the original image is included in the output regardless of the source of the image. What is considered the original image depends on how the invoice entered the system. In each case, the original image is copied to the folder specified in the procedure below.
- If the invoice was scanned, the original image found in the path specified in the Images setting in eilocal.ini is copied.
- If the invoice was imported into the system, the original image found in the folder specified for the setting in the file source configuration dialog is copied. However, if Delete multi-image files after import is selected in the Multi-image options of the Advanced section of the same dialog, the original file cannot be copied since it will already have been deleted in Interpret.
- If the
invoice entered the system using
ReadSoft
Collector, the
original image found in the folder specified on the
Folders tab of the Collector
General settings dialog is copied. However, if
Treat entire email and all attachments
as single invoice. is selected in the
Email settings of the
Collector
job configuration, the original file will not be copied.

Do the following to keep the original image with the output:
- Open the Transfer job description for which you want to keep original invoice images in the output.
- Click Original image in the navigation pane, and select Move original file directory.
- Specify the path to the folder where you want to put original invoice images after Transfer.
Keep in mind that the folder specified here cannot be the same as the folders for the Keep image with output file or Move invoice images here settings specified in the Status pane of the Transfer job description, because naming conflicts may occur or images may be overwritten. You are notified if the paths are the same when performing the above procedure.
