In order to facilitate deploying processes with classification and extraction groups on multiple site configurations, including OPMT scenarios and cloud deployments, configuration settings that are dependent on the environment are now protected by Kofax TotalAgility when new versions of the process are imported. This minimizes the time needed to switch between various environments where a capture process is deployed.

It is quite common for a classification or extraction group to be deployed in an isolated environment. When it needs to move to either a testing environment or a production environment, multiple changes are required. Because of deployment and staging, it is no longer necessary to manually update several settings for each environment.

There are two main aspects of deployment and staging. These are:

1. Configuration settings preservation

2. Centralized relational database connections
