Reset black and white images

Whenever a color or grayscale image is converted to its black and white version, contrast or noise modifications are applied according the selected options on the Project Settings - General tab. If you modify these settings, any existing black and white images are not updated automatically. As a result, if you want your Classification Set to use these new image settings, you should remove the existing black and white images and then re-create them by following these steps:

  1. Open the Documents window if it is not already open.
  2. Select the Classification Set.

The Classification Set expands to show its document subsets.

  3. Select the All Documents subset.

Using this document subset ensures that you do not miss any documents by selecting them individually. You can remove all images in one single step.

The documents in the selected document subset are displayed in the selected view.

  4. If a different view is in use, switch to the List view Documents Window - Flat View icon.
  5. Right-click and select Reset Black & White Images from the shortcut menu.

Any existing black and white images are deleted.

  6. To regenerate the deleted black and white images, on the Process tab, in the Train group, select Classification.

New black and white images are created using the upgraded contrast and noise settings in the Project Settings.
