Hide anchors and zones on a document

By default, as you browse through a document set using the Document Viewer (zone mode), all anchors and zones defined for the selected Advanced Zone Locator are displayed with registration applied. This can be time consuming if you have large documents or a large document set.

As a result, disabling this feature during testing ensures the results are not slowed by trying to display each zone with registration applied. This is because the position of both zones and anchor zones are displayed only as defined on the reference document.

You can hide anchors and zones on a document by following these steps:

  1. Open the locator properties.
  2. Open the reference document.

The Document Viewer (Zone Mode) window is displayed.

  3. On the Document Viewer (Zone Mode) toolbar, select the page containing the data to extract.
  4. On the toolbar, click Displays zones with registration applied Displays zones with registration applied icon.

Registration is not applied to this and subsequent documents, allowing you to test your settings and see the placement of the zones on your document set without registration.
