Bulk edit multiple selected classes

To make several similar changes to the classes in your project, select one or more classes and edit their details at the same time. This enables you to compare the options for each class in a single glance to ensure that you are being consistent.

Tip Double-click main grid options to edit them. Select multiple classes from the Class list and edit them together in the top row.

For example, you can change the recognition profile for several classes at once rather than selecting each class individually.

You can edit multiple classes in bulk by following these steps:

  1. Expand the Project Tree and select the class to edit.
  2. Open the Details window if it is not already open.
  3. Optionally, view the class contents if they are not already displayed.

The hidden class contents are displayed.

  4. In the Project Tree, click a class, and Ctrl + click other classes as needed.

To select a sequence of classes, use Ctrl + Shift.

Alternatively, bulk edit the classes at the top-level of another class using one of the following methods:

    • Select the Classes Project Tree - Classes icon collector item and click the "Show Classes in Multi-Selection" button.

    • Double-click the ClassesProject Tree - Classes icon collector item.

Note If the top-level classes have child classes, they are not displayed. To see the child classes, click the Classes Project Tree - Classes icon collector item for the parent class.

The selected classes are displayed in an editable grid in the Details window. The left stationary Class column lists the classes. The rest of the grid is scrollable so that you can edit all Class Details. Each column represents an option from the Class Details.

  5. To edit a single field, select that class in the Class column in the Details window.

The Class Details for the selected field are highlighted in the grid and loaded into the top editable column.

  6. Edit an individual option for the selected class as follows:
    • Use the editable row at the top of the table to make changes to the selected class.

    • Double-click an option in a class row in the main grid to make it editable. Make the necessary change to the selected class.

  7. To edit multiple classes at the same time, click a class in the Class column and Ctrl + click additional classes. To select a sequence of classes, use Ctrl + Shift.

The editable row at the top of the grid is loaded and linked to all of the selected classes. Any changes made here are also made in each of the classes selected in the Class column.

  8. Edit the top row as needed. The values applied here are made to each of the selected classes.

The changes are updated in the grid for each selected class.

  9. Repeat the previous two steps to edit all classes that require modification.
