Master Item tab - Table Locator Properties window

This tab is only enabled if you have either selected the Manual detection method or if you train a table layout via the Edit Document window.

Use the Master Item tab to define a representative row for the table. This row serves as the master item used to identify other rows in the table.

Note Documents that are returned from Validation show a predefined master item created automatically during validation. If needed, you can create a new master item or adjust the existing one by selecting the table row in the viewer using the mouse.

You can only draw a line item when the Design Document is displayed within the viewer.

Line Settings

This group has the following options:

Optional lines

Sometimes a row in a table may take up several lines on the document. In some cases, the second and subsequent lines may be optional. The Optional Lines field shows the number of optional lines in the row based on what lines were flagged optional in the Lines area below. In the viewer, click a text line showing the master item to add or remove a text line from this list of optional lines. The value for this option is set to empty by default.

Many comments per item

Select this option if your tables might have large gaps caused by comments or other items between the line items. This option is cleared by default.

Lines

This group shows a larger version of the currently selected master item. You can click a row in the master item to flag it as an optional line. Optional lines are displayed in a lighter shade of green, and the number of flagged lines is shown in the Optional Lines field in the Line Settings area.

Select this option is you want to use a text anchor to help find a line item. This option is cleared by default.
