Delete a Trainable Evaluator subfield

If you no longer need a subfield, the best practice is to delete the subfield from the locator. Once you are content with your test results, you should remove any unwanted subfields to ensure that there is no confusion at a later time.

Important After deleting subfields, it is necessary to train your project. If you do not retrain your project, the knowledge base still contains training documents with training data relevant to the deleted subfield. The extraction results can suffer as a result.

You can delete a Trainable Evaluator subfield by following these steps:

  1. Open the locator properties.
  2. On the General tab, from the Subfields list, click the blue cell next to the name of the subfield to delete.

    The row is highlighted in orange and an arrow is displayed in the blue cell to indicate selection.

  3. Click Delete.
  4. When prompted to conform your deletion, click Yes.

    The subfield is removed from the Define Subfields list.

  5. Optionally, add, rearrange, or delete other subfields.
  6. Click Close to close the locator properties window.
  7. Save the changes to your project.
