Evaluation type

Comparing the results of input locators can have several outcomes:

  • The results can be identical; the Evaluation Type has no effect.
  • Two input locators segment the reading area differently and the segments might overlap.
  • Two input locators differ about what to read and how confident to be.

If you choose the Aggressive Evaluation Type value, the result contains fewer rejects. If you choose Medium or Safety, the results contain more rejects. The Safety value always generates a reject when the segments are not identical. If you choose Aggressive, a locator may win if the level of confidence is above the threshold, even if the segments of both locators do not match.
