Set a document set as the Classification Training Set

If you have a document set that contains documents that are more appropriate or suitable for classification training, you can convert that document set to be the Classification Training Set. This can occur if you import a training set from another project that has similar classification.

Important When you convert a document set to the Classification Training Set, this document set is attached to the project automatically, and the old Classification Training Set is converted to a Test Set and is no longer attached to the project. This means that the next time you open your project, the new Classification Training Set is displayed in the Documents window and the other document set is no longer displayed, unless you save its reference manually.

You can set a document set as the Classification Training Set by following these steps:

  1. Open the Documents window if it is not already open.
  2. Click on the document set that you are making the new Classification Training Set.

    The document set expands and the list of its document subsets is displayed.

  3. On the shortcut menu, select Use as Classification Training Set.

    The document set icon changes to indicate that it is now the Classification Training Set.

  4. Optionally, exclude one or more document subsets in your new Classification Training Set from the training set.
