Project upgrades

If you have added modifications to your project, you can merge a project with local changes to a new version of the project. You cannot however, remove, rename, or delete any of the elements that existed before your modifications.

Note Document sets and training sets are not included in the merge process. This means that if you have documents in either the Classification training set or the Extraction training set, make a backup copy of these sets outside of the project folder to ensure that they are not lost during the merge. You must perform the backup before the project merge. You can merge the backed up training documents to the upgraded project at a later time.

Modifications to the following items are included in a merge.

  • Recognition Profiles

  • Classes

  • Field Groups

  • Fields

  • Locators

  • Dictionaries

  • Databases

  • Image Cleanup Profiles

  • Country Settings

  • Validation Methods

  • Formatters

  • Table Models

  • Global Columns

  • Table Header Packs

  • Connections

  • Script Variables

In addition to the above list, Scripts are also merged, as long as the custom content is present below the modify line listed in the script.
