Map multiple zones to an anchor

Multiple zones can reference a single anchor. This can occur when a document has several pieces of information relative to an anchor zone.

You can map multiple zones to a single anchor by following these steps:

  1. Open the locator properties.
  2. Open the reference document.

    The Document Viewer (Zone Mode) window is displayed.

  3. On the Zone Viewer toolbar, click Selection Mode Selection Mode icon.
  4. Ctrl-click zones to select multiple zones.
  5. After selecting multiple zones, right-click a zone and select Properties.

    The Zone Properties window is displayed and several properties are unavailable.

  6. Select the Anchors tab.
  7. On the list of Available Anchors, select the anchor to map to the zone and click Add.

    The anchor is mapped to the zone and displayed in the list of Selected Anchors.

  8. Optionally, map additional anchors.
  9. Click Close to save your settings and close the Zone Properties window.
  10. Open a test document and click Test to test your settings.
  11. Optionally, click Close to close the locator properties window.
  12. Save the changes to your project.
