Edit a custom entity file
If you need to make changes to an existing custom entity file, those change are not visible until after you restart the Natural language processing engine.
You can edit a custom entity file and then stop the Salience engine by following these steps:
-
On the
Project Tree, click on the
Project
node.
The properties of the project are displayed, including a link to the location of the project file.
-
Click on the
Project path.
A Windows Explorer window opens to the location of your project.
-
Navigate to the following path where your entity files are stored.
\Custom\SalienceData\<language>\salience\entities\<EntityTypeName>
- Open the .cdl entity file that needs modified.
- Make the necessary changes and then save and close the .cdl file.
-
Navigate to and select the class in the
Project Tree where your Named Entity Locator is located.
The details for that class are displayed.
-
Scroll down and find the
Natural Language Processing group and then click
Stop Salience Engine.
The Natural language processing engine stops. The next time the NLP engine is needed, it starts on-demand and your modifications to your custom entity file are now visible.
