Delete a formatter

If a field or locator is removed that makes use of one or more formatters, those formatters may no longer be required. Once you have verified that the formatters are no longer required, the best practice is to remove them from your project. This is because it is easier to maintain a project that does not contain obsolete content.

You can delete a formatter from your project by following these steps:

  1. On the Project tab, in the Configuration group, select Project Settings Project Settings icon.
  2. Click the Formatting tab to view the formatter settings.
  3. Select the formatter you want to delete.
  4. Click Delete.
  5. Select Yes to confirm the deletion or No to cancel.
  6. Optionally, click OK to close the Project Settings window.
  7. Save the changes to your project.
