Connector Tracing settings

The services that you can enable for the connector profile depend on the Common Services and Connector Services that are configured on the Services tab. Services that are not available are grayed out.

Common Services include:

  • Notification: Enables the ShareScan application to send e-mail notification to the administrator regarding the status of the connector workflow. Typically used with the Background processing functionality when the administrator needs to know about the part of the workflow that is processing in the background.
  • Tracing: Tracing settings enable you to configure the capture of trace information in a log file. This information helps troubleshoot connector issues. You typically do this only when working with Customer Support. Tracing slows down overall system performance.

Connector Services include

  • Document Tracking: When Activity Tracking is enabled for the device, this option creates a black and white PDF file, without encryption or searchable text information, and stores the file in the folder specified on the Document Tracking tab (in the Activity Tracking pane). The file name for the document is added to the Activity Tracking log.
  • Bates/Endorsement: Enables the Bates/Endorsement Service for the connector profile.
