Microsoft 365 Configuration for Outbound Email

Email sending can be blocked using an Microsoft 365 registered app. It can be fixed by reverting to use SMTP to send email.

  1. Select Configuration Settings, and set the proper Server Type.

    Choose between SMTP and Office 365 App. The Microsoft 365 App is an application registered with Microsoft 365. See Configure Microsoft 365 for Output Manager to configure an application in Microsoft 365 for use with the Email Destination.

  2. Set the following parameters in SMTP settings > Microsoft 365 App Settings:
    Parameter Description
    Tenant Id

    Specifies the tenant id that the registered application is assigned to.

    App Id

    Specifies the application id of the registered application to use.

    App Secret

    Specifies the secret that was created for use with the registered application.

    From

    Specifies the email address that will be used to send the email.
