Description

Search request

This group allows you to specify a search method that will be used by the component for searching a desired location and assigning it to the record.

Criteria set

Select this option to search for locations using a set of predefined criteria.

The table contains all added criteria.

Click the Add button to add a criterion into the table using the Add Criterion dialog box. In the Name text box, specify a criterion name. In the Value text box, specify the value for the selected criterion. You may define a criterion name using RRTs; in this case, the RRT should be replaced with its internal name. See more information on the criteria list in Search Criteria. You may set a criterion value using RRTs. If a criterion has a predefined list of possible values, the RRT should be replaced with one of these values.

You can only use criteria from the predefined list. You can specify any number of predefined criteria, but each criterion may be used only once per search request; that is, you cannot specify two criteria with the same name in one request.

The record will be saved into the first found location that matches all specified criteria.

To edit an existing criterion, select it in the table and click the Edit button.

To delete a criterion, select it in the table and click the Remove button.

Search string

Select this option to search for locations using a custom search string.

Specify your search string in the text box.

See more information on performing the search according search strings in Micro Focus Content Manager documentation.

Test search request

Click this button to test the request specified in the Search request group.
