Schedule reports to run automatically

When adding a task to generate a report, you must specify:

  • the report type
  • the desired output destination (email recipient or file location)
  • the report format (HTML, XML, CSV-Unicode, or CSV-ANSI)
To email a report, you must configure Equitrac with a mail server. See Configuring the Mail Server for Email Notifications. You can only email a report to a single address.

To add a scheduled Report task, do the following:

  1. In Web System Manager, select System Configuration > Scheduled Tasks in the left pane.
  2. Select Report from the Add scheduled task list to open the Add Scheduled Task page.
  3. Enter a Name and Description for the task.
  4. Select No from the Suspended drop-down list to run the task at the scheduled intervals. See Suspending a Task for details on suspending a task.
  5. Select the desired report from the Report namedrop-down list, and click Destination.
  6. Only standard and customized site reports appear in the report name drop-down list; customized personal reports are not included. See the Reports Manager section in the Kofax Equitrac Windows System Manager Guide for information on how to save a Custom report.

  7. In the Report destination dialog box, select either Email or File as the report destination.
  8. If you select Email, do the following:
    1. Select the attachment file type. More than one Attachment type can be sent.
    2. In the To field, enter the email address of the recipient. To email multiple recipients, separate email addresses by commas or semi-colons, without any spaces between addresses.
    3. Enter a Subject and Message (optional) for the email.
    4. Click OK.
  9. If you select File, do the following:
    1. Select the File type.
    2. Enter the Path\filename for the report, or click the ellipse button to select a destination.
    3. Click OK.
  10. Schedule the task to occur either once, every day, every week, or monthly.
  11. Enter a Start date and Start time for the task to run.
  12. Click OK to save the scheduled task.
