Configure a Fiery device via Proxy Port

When a device is configured to allow Equitrac embedded to run and when Equitrac has been configured to use proxy printing, the Proxy IP address can be used to route print jobs from a Fiery device or other third-party processing solutions. If releasing to a Fiery device, a Fiery print queue and driver are required and the device must accept TCP/IP print jobs on Port 9100.

To configure a Fiery device, do the following:

  1. In Devices, select Physical Devices and select a device from the list.
  2. Select Output in the Settings menu to configure the port settings.
  3. In the Port Settings section, do the following:
    1. Set the Protocol to Raw and the Raw port number to 9100. Raw is the default setting and is standard for TCP/IP printing.
    2. Enter the Fiery device IP address in the Proxy IP address field.
  4. Click Save to save the Fiery device settings.
