Configure package properties

Use the following tabs to configure the properties of a package.

General

Name

Name for the package.

Description

Optional. Description for the package.

Category

Category for the package.

By default, TotalAgility places the new package in your working category.

The Category list for the Packages menu includes the Management Console sub-category under TotalAgility Forms category. This category contains all the artifacts related to Management Console.

The Management Console sub-category is only available for TotalAgility on-premise; it is not available for TotalAgility in an on-premise multi-tenant and Azure environments.

Comments for the package.

Content settings

Include items associated with processes

By default, adds all the associated items from the selected processes to the package. The associated items that can be included in the processes are:

Category

Custom .Net assemblies (in store)

Linked servers (Transfer activity)

The work type mapped to the process

Checklist (vars) associated templates and checklist items

Business events associated with any activity

Job creation form mapped to this property

Associated folders (vars)

Skins

The classification group mapped at the process level or on any of the capture activities

Business events associated with states

Language files

Extraction group used for a document variable

Business rules

Groups and roles

Scan/VRS profile configured on the process or activity

Server variables

Other processes including fragments

Separation profile configured on the process or activity

PDF profile (PDF activity)

.Net Assemblies (in process properties)

Document templates associated with Document creation node

  • The package does not include the following items associated with processes:

    • Category for all

    • Members of group

    • Alerts

    • Process and work type for the work allocation rule

  • Resources configured for functional and maintenance access are not automatically included in a package. You must manually add them to the package.
  • If you select to include the items associated with processes, the Include role members option becomes available.

Include items associated with forms

By default, adds all the associated items from forms to the package. The associated items that can be included in the forms are:

All forms added as an association

Global variables

Extraction group and Scan profile: The extraction group associated with web capture control

A package does not include the following items associated with forms:

  • Category for all

  • Form, Resources (worker and groups) and global variables for the navigation menu

  • Theme, Form, and Navigation for a site

Include items associated with categories

If selected, includes all the items from a category and its subcategories to the package. (Default: Clear)

Only subcategories for which you have access are included in the package.

Protect all items in the package

If selected, protects all the items within the package. You cannot unprotect any item within that package. (Default: Clear. This means none of the items within the package are protected and you can individually protect the items when adding the items to the package.

Include role members

If selected, adds role members to the package. (Default is Clear for a new package, and Selected for an existing package created using a previous version, in which "Include items associated with processes" is selected.)

The Include role members option will only be available if Include items associated with processes is selected.

Include devices

Includes the data of devices that are registered in the TotalAgility Device Manager in the Kofax Front Office Server package XML. (Default: Clear)

Include device profiles

If selected, includes information of all the device profiles listed on the TotalAgility Device Manager in the Kofax Front Office Server package XML. (Default: Clear)

Include device settings

If selected, includes the information of general and advanced settings of the TotalAgility Device Manager in the Kofax Front Office Server package XML. (Default: Clear)

Maintenance access

You can assign access permissions to an individual or a group to restrict or grant access to maintain a package. Resources with at least Read permissions can access a package.

When you import a package, or upgrade TotalAgility from a previous version, the maintenance access for the package is set to "Everyone" with "Full control."

When you open a package for modification, the options are available as per the access permissions granted. For example, a user with Read permissions can only open and view the package but cannot modify the package.

  1. Navigate to Packages > Packages.

    The list of packages page appears.

  2. Open the package for which to assign the access permissions.
  3. On the properties panel, click the Maintenance access tab and then click .
  4. On the Name list, select a group or individual whom to assign access permissions.
  5. On the Type list, select an access type. Available options are:

    Type

    Description

    Full control

    Users with this access type can create, modify and delete a package, and also set and modify the access permissions for other users for the current package. By default, the Everyone group has Full control.

    Read write

    Users with this access type can open and modify (add or delete items) the package, but cannot change the access permissions.

    Read

    Users with this access type can only view a package; they cannot modify or delete the package or set and change the access permissions for other users.

  6. Click Add.
  7. Save the package.

Languages

You access the package in different languages at runtime.

  1. On the properties panel of the package, click the Languages tab.
  2. Click Add for Languages.

    The Add languages dialog box is displayed.

  3. Select the languages to add as needed, or click Add all to add all languages.

    The selected languages are added to the Selected items box.

    To delete a selected language, click for the language to delete.

  4. Click Done.

    The selected languages appear in the Languages box.

    To delete a language, click for the language to delete.

  5. Save the package.
