License types

TotalAgility supports system licenses, station licenses and volume licenses.

System licenses

Displays the name and expiration date of the licenses. The system licenses belong to the following categories:

  • Software-Based Licensing

  • Kofax Monitor - Console Server

  • Kofax Reporting

  • TotalAgility Limited Users: Allows anonymous users to create new jobs or get the properties of jobs in progress. The APIs that can be executed using a limited user license are restricted to the following:

    • JobService.CreateJob

    • JobService.CreateJobInCase

    • JobService.CreateJobInCaseWithDocuments

    • JobService.CreateJobWithDocuments

    • JobService.GetJobProperties

    • JobService.GetJobProperties2

    • JobService.GetMinJobDetails

    • JobService.CreateCase

    • JobService.CreateCaseWithDocuments

    • JobService.getcaseJobProperties

    • CreateJobSyncWithDocuments

    The limited user license is unlimited. It does not have a volume associated with it but it has a one-off charge.

Station licenses

Displays the number of available licenses (licenses that are not yet used), the maximum number of licenses, and the expiration date for each license type. The default value for station licenses is 100. The station licenses belong to the following categories:

  • VRS Elite for Workgroup Scanning

  • Device

  • Device - Canon

  • KIC - Email Integration

  • KIC - Fax Server Integration

  • KIC - FoIP Integration

  • KIC - File Interface

  • KIC - Web Service Interface

  • KIC - VRS

  • Mobile Device

  • TotalAgility Concurrent Full User: This license is used when many users simultaneously log on to a system. With every login, the system deletes one license from the number of available concurrent user licenses.

    When the same user logs on to more than one session. For example, logging on to the TotalAgility Designer and Workspace simultaneously, consumes two concurrent licenses.

  • TotalAgility Concurrent Full User - Reserve: The system automatically uses the reserve licenses when the number of concurrent full user licenses reaches the limit. 5% of the TotalAgility user licenses belong to this category.

    You can only use reserve licenses twice within twelve months, and up to seven days.

Volume licenses

Displays the full count of pages that you can scan annually, the remaining number of pages that you can scan this year, and the expiration date and renewal date for the licenses. The default value for volume licenses is 10,000. The volume licenses belong to the following categories:

  • TotalAgility Imaging Page Count Annual: This annually recurring volume license is decremented for each page that is created.

  • TotalAgility Imaging Page Count - One Time Use

  • TotalAgility Imaging Page Count - Reserve One Time Use: When annually recurring Imaging volume is purchased, an additional 5% of that volume is provisioned as non-expiring one-time use volume "TotalAgility Imaging Page Count- Reserve One Time Use". The system automatically starts using reserve page count when the annually recurring Imaging volume is depleted.

  • TotalAgility Transformation Page Count Annual: This annually recurring volume license is decremented for each page processed by a transformation activity.

  • TotalAgility Transformation Page Count One Time Use: The one-time use volume license is decremented for each page processed by a transformation activity.

  • TotalAgility Transformation Page Count - Reserve Annual: When annually recurring Transformation volume is purchased, an additional 5% of that volume is provisioned as non-expiring one-time use volume "TotalAgility Transformation Page Count - Reserve". The system automatically starts using reserve page count when the annually recurring Transformation volume is depleted.
