Create a Job in case action

Configure a Create job in case action for an event in the SharePoint site. For example, you can set up the create job in case action for the ItemAdded event against a document library in SharePoint. Similarly, you can set up a Create job in case action for events in the forms library, wiki library, picture library, contacts, discussion board, announcement, agenda, links, calendar, tasks, issue tracking, survey and custom list in SharePoint.

  1. On the SharePoint page, select the site for which you want to configure events.

The Edit sharepoint site configuration dialog box is displayed.

  2. In the Receiver service URL field, enter the name of the Receiver service URL in TotalAgility, which is a web service URL that SharePoint communicates to when an event occurs. For example, http://<KTA server name>/Services/Core/Integration/SharepointReceiverService.svc.

    • This URL must be accessible from the SharePoint server.

    • You can configure events only when you specify the Receiver service URL and save the URL.

  3. Click for Events.

The New sharepoint event configuration dialog box is displayed.

  4. On the Select source list, select a source, such as Shared Documents.
  5. Select the Event for which to configure the TotalAgility action, such as ItemAdded.
  6. On the Action list, select Create job in case.
  7. In the Process field, select a process or case fragment.

If the map used to create a new job has any initialization parameters, the parameters appear under Initialization Variables.

  8. For Case identifier, do either of the following:
    • Click Case ref and select a dynamic value, or click and enter a static value.

    • Click Case ID and select a dynamic value or enter a static value.

  9. To map the metadata to initialization variables, in the Value field of each parameter, select a dynamic value, or enter a static value.
  10. Click Save to save the event configuration.
  11. In the Edit Exchange site configuration dialog box, click Save.

If there are insufficient privileges or the parameter values are incorrect, or there is a mismatch between the selected location and the TotalAgility Web service, the item is not configured, and the job is suspended at runtime. The details of the error appear in the Event Log.
