Configuration in Import settings

In TotalAgility Designer, navigate to Integration > Import settings and configure the File type import source for importing the XML files which are in standard Kofax XML format.

This topic only describes the minimum configuration required for importing an XML file using a FILE import source. For complete configuration options available when importing file, see File.

General

  1. On the Type list, select FILE.
  2. Enter a Display name for the import source.
  3. Make sure that the import source is Active.
  4. In File detection mode, select the method using which the files placed in the folder are imported.
  5. Provide the User name and Password which have the permission to modify the watched folder or have full control of the folder.
  6. Use the Test file import button to make sure that the connection with the folder is successful.

XML processing

  1. On the Kofax XML import mode list, select Map XML fields to TotalAgility fields and allow fields mismatch.
  2. On the Kofax XML page tag processing level list, select Document.

    If you select the "Page" option for a for a multi-page TIFF file, only the first page of the referenced TIFF file is imported.

  3. To create a document from the XML content, select Create document from XML content (default: Clear).

    If you select this option, you can use the XML rendering feature in the Document conversion activity. Specify the page size, orientation, and the XSLT for rendering the imported XML using the Document conversion activity.

Associated actions

  1. On the Job type list, select Create new job.
  2. On the Process list, select the “Institutional” process. If you do not select a process here, BatchClassName configured in the XML file is used.
  3. Save the import source and import connection.
