Configure a Verification activity

Use the following procedure to configure a Verification activity.

  1. Add an activity to the map.

By default, the Configuration tab is open in the properties panel of the activity.

  2. Change the default Name of the activity to something meaningful.
  3. On the Type list, select Capture > Verification.
  4. On the Input document/folder list, select a document or folder variable that serves as an input for the Verification activity. See Create a document variable and Create a folder variable.

    • When creating this activity, you can provide only one document or folder variable as an input to the activity. See Create a document variable and Create a folder variable.
    • On the Input/Output tab, you can provide any number of additional input and output variables of any type, except Document or Folder variables. However, you can add fields from a Document or Folder variable. See Configure the input and output variables for an activity.
    • In the previous versions of TotalAgility, the Activity form for Verification displayed all the field types (such as Check box and Combo box) added on the verification form as the text fields at runtime. In TotalAgility 7.11.0, the Check box and Combo box field types added on the Document Verification form at design time are also displayed at runtime. After importing a package that includes a Document Verification form (configured with text fields, combo boxes and check boxes) created in previous versions of TotalAgility, you must regenerate and re-release the form for the appropriate field types to appear on the form.

  5. By default, the verification of documents with unverified fields is not completed and an error occurs at runtime if the document has unverified fields. To allow verification of a document with unverified fields to complete at runtime, select Allow verification to complete with unverified fields. However, you can reject the document that has unverified fields and complete the activity.

A document that is already rejected before it can be used in a Verification activity is displayed as read-only at runtime. This does not apply to documents that are newly rejected in the Verification activity since they can be un-rejected.

  6. Under Page rendition, do the following:
    • Select Inherit settings from system to inherit page renditions from the system and the renditions for the activity become unavailable.
    • To display a different image, clear Inherit settings from system, and on the Default displaying image list, select a different image to display as the default image.
  7. On the MFP ready list, select one of the following options. (Default: No)
    • No: The activity cannot be completed on an MFP device.
    • MFP friendly: Enables the activity to be completed on an MFP device and desktop.
    • MFP only: Enables the activity to be completed only on an MFP device.
    • MFP only - no password required: Enables the MFP operators to take the activity on the MFP without specifying the password. This setting is available for HP, MFP Emulator, and Lexmark eSF devices.
  8. Save the process map.
At runtime, when you take the Verification activity, the generated Verification form appears.
  9. Configure other properties for this activity. See Activity properties.
