Configure a SharePoint get document activity

Use the following procedure to configure a SharePoint get document activity.

  1. Add an activity to the map.

    By default, the Configuration tab is open in the properties panel of the activity.

  2. Change the default Name of the activity to something meaningful.
  3. On the Type list, select Microsoft > SharePoint get document.
  4. Configure the following properties.
    Location
    SharePoint site

    The SharePoint site to retrieve the location of the SharePoint server and the TotalAgility Web Service URL.

    Select target

    The target from which to download or check out the document.

    Relative path

    The path to the library subfolder on the SharePoint site from where to copy or check out a document. The path can be a dynamic variable (process/server) or a static value.

    Document name The name of the document. The name can be a dynamic variable (process/server) or a static value.
    Unique identifier The unique SharePoint ID of the document. The ID can be a dynamic variable (process/server) or a static value.

    You can specify the document title and download location, or only the unique identifier, or all three values, as required.

    Download location

    The location on your local computer to download the document. The location can be a dynamic variable (process/server) or a static value.

    Check out

    If selected, checks out the document from SharePoint on your local computer. (Default: Clear, which means, TotalAgility downloads a copy of the document onto your computer but does not check the document out of SharePoint.)

  5. Click Save.

    The document is downloaded or checked out from SharePoint to your computer.

    If TotalAgility finds insufficient privileges, incorrect parameter values, or a mismatch between the selected location and the TotalAgility Web service, the item is not copied or checked out, and the job is suspended. Error details appear in the event log.
