Link TotalAgility with Microsoft Exchange

Use the following procedure to link TotalAgility to Microsoft Exchange.

  1. Navigate to Integration > Exchange.

    The Exchange page appears.

  2. Click New.

The New Exchange site configuration dialog box is displayed.

  3. Enter an ID for the Exchange site. The system identifies the site with this ID.
You cannot edit the ID once the configuration is saved.
  4. Enter a Display name for the Exchange site such as London Exchange Site, to identify the Exchange site.
  5. Enter the Exchange web service URL, such as http://<Exchange Server IP Address/Folder Name/exchange.asmx>, for the exchange server location.
If the "Allow all" system setting is not enabled, you can only provide the whitelisted URLs for Exchange web service URL and Subscription URL; otherwise, a message appears stating the connection is denied because the URL connection string is not whitelisted. See Whitelist a web service URL or a database connection string
  6. Select either of the following for the Exchange server Type.
    • On-Premise (default): The Authentication is read-only and set to Basic by default.
    • Online: The Authentication is read-only supporting OAuth 2.0 by default. Select the OAuth server.

      • While configuring the OAuth server, you need to use scope permissions for EWS APIs. Refer to the Microsoft documentation on setting OAuth scope for EWS applications.

      • The processing of email notifications will only starts for emails received after the "Process MS Exchange Events" system task is triggered

      • On upgrading TotalAgility, when you select the "Switch to MsGraph" option, the "OAuth server for MsGraph" is displayed where you can manually select to switch over to MSGraph for any existing configurations that use EWS (7.9 and 7.10). If you select this option, the processing of email notification works when you have scope permissions for MSGraph APIs. If the option is clear, MSGraph continues to work if EWS is supported. If you try to switch to MSGraph after EWS support fails, a warning message appears. At runtime, once the processing is completed, you cannot view "Switch to MsGraph" and "Exchange web service URL" options in the designer.

  7. Optional. Enter the Email regular expression such as (?<=\[)[a-fA-F0-9]{32}(?=\]).

Use this setting while configuring the events. An event is only triggered when the subject of the received mail is in the specified regular expression format.

  8. Under Mailbox, configure the credentials for the user who will connect to the Exchange server. Select one of the following for Credential storage.

    Local (Default)

Enter the username and password and confirm the password to log in to the mailbox.

Enter the domain name to connect to the Exchange.

    External

Enter the secret name for the username and password stored in the configured external storage.

  9. Click Save.

The link appears on the Exchange page. You can modify and delete the configuration.
