Manage a deployment server

Configure deployment servers so that you can deploy packages automatically. When deploying a package to the server, you can select a pre-configured deployment server.

You can add, edit and delete the deployment servers on the Deployment servers page.

To open the Deployment servers page, navigate to System > Deployment servers.

Add a deployment server

You must have the necessary access permissions to configure a deployment server. If you have read-only access permission, the menu options and server details are displayed but you cannot create a new server or edit and remove an existing one.

  1. Navigate to System > Deployment servers
    The Deployment servers page appears.
  2. Click New.

The New deployment server dialog box is displayed.

  3. Enter a Name for the deployment server.
  4. Enter a URL for the deployment server. For example, http://<servername>/TotalAgility.
  5. To use Windows credentials, select Windows authentication.
  6. To log in, select one of the following for Credential storage.

    Local (Default)

    Enter the username and password.

    External

Enter the secret name for the username and password stored in the configured external storage.

  7. Click Save.

The deployment server name appears on the Deployment servers page. An audit log entry is added to record under the Package category that a deployment server is added.

Edit a deployment server

You can edit the deployment server details.

  1. On the deployment servers page, click the deployment server to edit.

The Edit deployment server dialog box is displayed.

  2. Make changes as needed.
  3. Click Save.

Delete a deployment server

You can delete a deployment server.

On the context menu of the deployment server to delete, click Delete. The server is removed, and an audit log entry is added to record under the Package category that a deployment server is removed.
