Install DWS after moving to an eCopy ShareScan only environment

If you have previously had an eCopy ShareScan, Equitrac, and DRS environment, and you are moving to an eCopy ShareScan and DRS only environment, complete these steps to install the DWS:

  1. Uninstall Equitrac Office and Express.
  2. Install eCopy ShareScan version 6.1 or later and all available hotfixes.
  3. Install DRS version 7.11 or later and install the Unified Client for Epson.
  4. Download the DWS software from the Kofax Downloads Web site (https://delivery.kofax.com).
  5. Select and run the Installer file to launch the Setup Wizard.
  6. From the Welcome screen, click Next to begin the installation process.
  7. Read and accept the terms of the Kofax End User License Agreement, and then click Next.
  8. From the Destination Folder screen, accept the default installation folder or click Change to select a new folder.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Click Install, and then clickFinish to complete the installation.
In the DRS, in the Epson Unified Client Service Details screen, update the Server configuration – eCopy only field to point to the DWS server.
