High availability support

When the Unified Client for Fujifilm is configured with the Equitrac, AutoStore, or Output Manager servers, it can use the Control Suite high availability if an outage occurs. The unified client remains available to complete the following tasks:

  • With Equitrac, the client is available for authentication, print release, and scan submission when a DCE server outage may have occurred. Use a virtual IP address for the DCE Server Address when creating an application in DRS.
  • With Output Manager, the client is available for authentication and print release when the Output Manager server application might be in an offline state. Use a virtual IP address for the Print Manager Address when creating an application in DRS.
  • With AutoStore, the client is available for authentication and scan submission when a server outage may have occurred. Use a virtual IP address for the AutoStore Server Address when creating an application in DRS.

The device or DWS will remain online and connected to the component server during a network outage. However, any print jobs or scan jobs that are in progress may be lost.
