Configure the device language and date/time settings

Set the language for the MFP device in the Unified Client Environment before installation. While the client allows you change the device language after installation, it's recommended to set it before. If the device language is changed after installing, it is recommended that the device is rebooted after the MFP configuration is changed. For more information, see Supported languages.

Specific Canon device settings vary by geographic location and setup. Consult your Canon technician for any Multifunctional Peripheral (MFP)-specific settings needed for your particular deployment.

Configure Date/Time settings before the client app installation. If you change the settings at the device or on the device web page after the client application is installed, then the client may stop responding. Refer to the Release Notes for workaround.

  1. Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the Canon device to open the web interface.
  2. Go to Settings/Registration > Preferences > Timer/Energy Settings > Date/Time Settings.
  3. Set Date, Time and Time zone and click OK.
