Use process instances as filters

You can define a filter for other components by selected process instances (from process charts or a swimlane).

For process charts, the filter defines the set of instances that passed through the selected consecutive transitions. For the swimlane, the filter defines the set of instances that passed through the selected lanes (paths).

Filtering applies to all series, not to single series.

Your metric or record is filtered by the Process Key of the selected process instances. The dimension name in your metric or the field name in your record must be the same as the Process Key name in your process.

Process Key is the process property that maps steps to the process instances. This property pulls different process steps into a single process instance. You can set a process property as the Process Key by mapping it to a record field.
