Installation

After receiving the license delivery email from Kofax, follow its instructions to download the KofaxOmnipageCapture Software Development Kit CSDK 21.1 install media.

You can use the Form Template Editor (FTE) of CSDK 21.1 either with CSDK or stand-alone.

For installing FTE together with CSDK, follow these steps:

  1. Launch SETUP.exe from the root of the CSDK21 install media.
  2. Select the Customize Installation button and check the Form Template Editor option.
  3. Start the installation.

Install Form Template Editor after CSDK is installed

When CSDK21.1 was installed without FTE previously, you can install FTE any time, later. For this, do one of the following:

  1. Perform steps 1 to 3 as described above.
  2. Browse to the FormTemplateEditor folder on the install media and launch SETUP.exe.

Standalone installation

You can install FTE stand-alone, without installing the CSDK part. If you plan to use both CSDK and FTE on the same computer, then it is recommended installing CSDK, first. To perform a standalone installation, do one of the following:
  1. Use the standalone FTE installer.
  2. Browse to the FormTemplateEditor folder on the install media and launch SETUP.exe.
  3. Activate the license. For details, see Activate license.
