Language Collection Editor

The Language Collection Editor dialog box can be launched from the property grid, and lets you maintain an ordered list of recognition languages.

The dialog box consists of two lists:

  • Members: The list on the left may contain multiple recognition languages in priority order. The language identification number preceding the language refers to its priority. (The item on the top with number 0 has the top priority.)
  • Properties: The list on the right lists the properties of the selected language (English properties by default). Clicking Value displays a drop-down arrow next to the language name (English), the arrow can display the list of the available recognition languages. The language you set is immediately displayed in the Members list, with a number incremented by one (Figure 4).

This window offers the following controls:

Icon Name Description
  Add Click to add a new recognition language (English by default) to the bottom of the list. The recently added language has the lowest priority (and the highest ID number).
Up button Up Click to move the selected language up, assigning higher priority to it. The language identification number automatically changes to reflect the actual position in the list.

Alphabetic order button Alphabetic order Click to switch to the alphabetical view of properties.

  Remove Click to remove the selected language.
  OK Click to save the changes and close the dialog box.
  Cancel Click to discard the changes and close the dialog box.

Note Always set the recognition language on the template library to the languages / character sets you will use, otherwise matching errors may occur. You can set the template library recognition language on the Template Library property grid (see Template Library property grid).

Important CCJK, Thai and Arabic languages are not supported.
