Add a custom service
You can add a custom service activity to a Quick Workflow.
Prerequisites:
-
You should already define the following items in TotalAgility Designer:
-
Custom service groups. Refer to Create a custom service group in the TotalAgility Designer help.
-
Custom services. Refer to Create a custom service in the TotalAgility Designer help.
-
-
You should then expose these custom services for use in Quick Workflow. Refer to Quick Workflow.
-
Click
to add a node.
The Add activity dialog box is displayed.
-
On the
Type list, select the
custom service group. (Default: Manual Task)
By default, the name of the custom service group appears in the Title field. You can change the title to a more user-friendly name.
-
On the
Custom service list,
select the service that has been made available for use within
Quick Workflow.
Any input and output variables associated with the custom service appear under Input and Output.
- Map input and output variables either by selecting the process or server variables. If the required variable is not available, you can create a new variable. Click and in the New dialog box, create variables as needed. See Create variables.
-
Specify a
State to apply when the
task becomes available or is pending. For example, when the order for goods is
confirmed, set the state as, ORDER CONFIRMED.
You can use the same state twice for different activities within a process.
At runtime, when states are in use, the dashboard displays the state chart for the jobs.
-
Click
Add.
The custom service is added and the properties are updated and displayed in the properties panel.
When you view associations in TotalAgility Designer for the selected custom service, the process generated as part of Quick Workflow is listed.
