Create Skins

You can create/modify skins to create different variants of a process template. Create a new skin using the New button on the Quick Skins page or from the context menu of an existing template.

  1. On the Quick Skins page, click New. Alternatively, to create a new skin directly within a template, on the context menu of the template, click Create new skin.

    The Create new skin dialog box is displayed.

  2. Provide a Name to the new skin.
  3. Optional. Enter a Description for your skin.
  4. Select the Template on which to create a skin. If you create a new skin directly within a template, the template appears read only in the Create new skin dialog box.

    The activities available within the selected skin template appear under Activities table.

  5. Select Override duration check box to override the expected duration set for the template and specify the duration specific to this skin. Enter the duration in Days, Hours, Minutes and/or Seconds.
  6. Define the Rule for this skin and click Validate to validate the rule.

    • Name

    • Target duration

    • Resources for manual activities

    • The Process for embedded process nodes

    To override the activity details, click the activity name and click . Alternatively, double-click the activity name. The Edit activity properties dialog box is displayed. Make changes as needed and click Save to save the activity changes.

  7. Click Save to save the skin.

    The skin is saved retaining not only the changes made in the Quick Skins application but also the properties that you do not have access to within this designer, such as a .Net node configuration.
