Reevaluate a skin

Skins are sets of predefined rules that initiate different operational behavior of a process. At job creation, TotalAgility evaluates the rules to ensure that the correct skin is applied.

If you modify the data of a process template in TotalAgility, you can reevaluate the skin without creating a job again to get the updated values.

  1. On the Jobs menu, click Find.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To reevaluate skin for a single job, on the Actions column for the job, click Select and then click Re-evaluate Skin.

Alternatively, you can reevaluate the skin on the Job Viewer toolbar.

    • To reevaluate skins for multiple jobs, select the check boxes for the jobs whose skins to reevaluate, and on the Action bar, click Actions and click Re-evaluate Skin.

    • To reevaluate skins for all jobs, select the check box at the table header, and on the Action bar, click Actions and click Re-evaluate Skin.

  3. Click Update Variable Values check box to update the variables in the job with the updated values from the skin.
  4. Click the Update Live Activities check box to update the properties of live activities with the updated values from the activities in the skin.
  5. Click OK.

The skin is updated for the selected job.

Note The values of the rule variables in the map are preset to match the required skin rule. TotalAgility Workspace creates a job on the relevant skin and overwrites the existing job. However, if any activities were taken and completed, the job continues from the point the activity was completed, and runs within the context of the selected skin.
