Use Statistics Export Connector

This export connector is necessary to configure the settings for the statistical information.

During the installation of Kofax Transformation Modules, the KTM Statistics export connector is installed, registered and is displayed in the list of available Kofax Capture export connectors.

In order to collect statistics the Kofax Capture Export module needs to be added to the queues in a batch class, and the KTM Statistics export connector needs to be activated for each document class.

The procedure below describes how to add KTM Statistics to an existing batch and document class. Refer to your Kofax Capture documentation for further details about export connectors.

  1. Add the Kofax Capture Export module to the batch class queue.
    1. From the Administration module Definitions pane, select the Batch tab.
    2. Right-click the batch class to which you want to add the Kofax Capture Export module, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu to display the Batch Class Properties window.
    3. Select the Queues tab.
    4. Select Export from the list of Available Queues and click Add to move it to the list of Selected Queues. It should are displayed as the last item in the list.
    5. Click Apply to save your settings without closing the Batch Class Properties window.
    6. Click OK to save your settings and close the window.
  2. Synchronize the project. If you do not synchronize the project, you cannot edit the Kofax Transformation Modules Statistics Release Setup window to configure the statistics export connector correctly.
  3. Add the KTM Statistics export connector for each document class.
    1. From the Administration module Definitions pane, select the Batch tab.
    2. Right-click the document class for which you want to activate the statistics export connectors, and then click Export Connectors on the shortcut menu to open the Export Connectors window.
    3. Select KTM Statistics from the list of Available Export Connectors.
    4. Click Add to add it to the list of Assigned Export Connectors. The setup window is displayed.
  4. Select whether your statistics are output to a Microsoft Access Database File (OLE DB) or Microsoft SQL Server database.
  5. If you have selected to release to Microsoft Access, the following options are displayed.

    Specify the location to which the .mdb file is released by entering a value in the Path box.

    A default path of C:\Statistic is set for the database.

  6. If you have selected to release to Microsoft SQL Server, the following options are displayed.

    Build the connection string as follows.

    1. Click Create.

      The Connection String Builder window is displayed.

    2. In the Server name box, enter the IP address or name of the computer which has SQL Server installed.
    3. Select whether you want to Use Windows Authentication or Use SQL Server Authentication to authenticate the release.
    4. If you have selected SQL Server authentication, enter the User name and Password for the SQL server account in the boxes provided.
      Note These values are case sensitive.
    5. In the Database name box, enter the name of the specific database that the statistics data are added to.
    6. To ensure the connection details are valid, click Test Connection.
    7. Click OK to save your settings and close the Connection String Builder window.

      The connection string is displayed in the box in the Kofax Transformation Modules Statistics Release Setup window for easy editing.

  7. If necessary, change the default group label.

    The group label can be used to tag the group to facilitate sorts and for filtering. For example, you may use the name of a supplier as the group value. The value of this field is saved in an additional data field.

  8. If necessary, change the cleanup interval by entering a number in the Cleanup Interval box.

    The cleanup interval sets the time span after which the data is rolled-up. Rolled-up means that the statistical data gathered for each field are used to calculate the various reports and afterwords the data for each field, not the reports, is deleted. This value may vary from one to seven days.

  9. Click OK to save your settings and close the Kofax Transformation Modules Statistics Release Setup window.
