Assign extraction fields to Kofax Capture index fields
Use the Synchronization Tool Fields tab to map simple or table extraction fields. The index fields may already exist in Kofax Capture or may be created with the Synchronization Tool.
To move from the Classes tab to the Fields tab, click Next Step.
Document classes that are already available from the Kofax Capture batch class or are created in the previous step are displayed in the list on the left side. Extraction fields and their associated index fields for the selected document class are displayed in the list on the right side. Additional index fields can be created from within the Synchronization Tool if needed.
Note The list of extraction fields shows all of the fields defined in
Project Builder for the classes assigned to the document class in
the previous step. Since
Kofax Transformation Modules supports inheritance, all of the fields that are
present in a class node are also present in child classes. However, new fields can be added to child classes. These fields are also
listed as extraction fields, even if they are not present in all classes. If a document is classified into a class that does not
have this extraction field, the corresponding index field value remains blank.
