The three buttons in the center of this tab are used for creating and mapping folder index fields and batch fields. All three buttons are disabled if the selected project folder on the left side does not define any folder fields.

• Create new folder/batch field: Creates a new folder index field in Kofax Capture with a name that you provide. (A new window is display to type in the index field name.) If the root folder is selected on the left side, this command creates a batch field in Kofax Capture.

  The new index field is added to the list of available fields for the folder class selected on the left side. The new index or batch field is not automatically assigned to a folder field.

• Create new folder/batch field in Kofax Capture with current name and assign it: Creates a new index or batch field with the name of the selected folder field and automatically assigns it. Multi-selection is not supported. The new field is also added to the list of available fields.

  Note The icons for new index and batch fields are marked with an asterisk until they are saved to Kofax Capture in the synchronization step. If synchronization is not performed, the new fields are discarded when the Synchronization Tool is closed. Index or batch fields that were created here, but remain unmapped, and are not created inside Kofax Capture during the synchronization step.

• Create a new folder/batch field in Kofax Capture for each extraction field and assign it: Creates a new index or batch field for each existing field in the selected folder and automatically assigns it.
