Manually adding or changing elements

You can manually modify the Kofax Capture batch class by using commands from the Synchronization Tool Edit menu or from the shortcut menus for the form types and document classes listed in the right pane of the Synchronization Tool.

  • Add Form Type - Adds a new form type to the selected document class. The form type is added with a default name (NewFormType), but you can rename it as desired. Just right-click the new form type, select Rename, and enter the new name. The icons for the new form types are marked with an asterisk until synchronization occurs (the last step in the Synchronization Tool).

If a document class contains several form types and you try to assign classes to a form type, then a window is displayed so you can select the Kofax Capture form type.

  • Add Document Class - Adds a new document class to the batch class. The document class is added with an default name (DocumentClass1). You can rename it as desired. Just right-click the new document class, select Rename, and enter the new name. The icons for the new document classes are marked with an asterisk until synchronization occurs (the last step of the Synchronization Tool).

  • Delete - Deletes the selected items from the Kofax Capture Document Classes list. Only items that are not already saved to Kofax Capture can be deleted from the Synchronization Tool. (If desired, they can be directly deleted from the Kofax Capture Batch class tree.)

  • Rename - Allows renaming the Kofax Capture form type. Only items that are not already saved to Kofax Capture can be renamed from the Synchronization Tool. (If desired, they can be renamed from the Kofax Capture Batch class tree.)

  • Unassign Form Type - Removes the mapping of the assigned form type. If there are any child classes, a message box is shown. If you click Yes the mapping is removed recursively. Click No if you only want to delete the mapping for the selected class.

  • Assign Selected Classes - Assigns the selected Kofax Capture form type to the selected class. If there are any child classes, a message box is shown. If you click Yes the form type is assigned recursively to all the classes in that part of the tree. Click No if you only want to assign the selected class.
