Change existing projects

Structural changes that are applied to the original project after synchronization are displayed in the tree of the classification project, for example if new classes are added. In this case, a project class has to be assigned to a Kofax Capture form type and extraction fields have to be mapped to Kofax Capture index fields.

However, these structural changes to the project become effective only if the batch class is re-synchronized with the project and then re-published in Kofax Capture. Batches already in the system are not impacted and continue to use the previous settings until they are released or deleted. You can use the "Batch Class Update" option of the Batch Manager module for these batches, but they are automatically sent to the Kofax Capture Quality Control module if they are already processed in Kofax Transformation Modules - Server. If you want these batches to be reprocessed with the changed settings, use the batch redirection option to send them back to the first instance of Kofax Transformation Modules - Server.

Note For batches already in the system workflow, the "Batch Class Update" option on the Batch Manager module allows you to apply small, non-structural changes to the Kofax Transformation project by automatically refreshing the batch class. You do not need to re-synchronize with the project, you need only to re-publish the batch class in Kofax Capture.
