Create a knowledge base activation code
If the documents used in a knowledge base contain sensitive information, it is possible to lock the contents of the
knowledge base. This means that anyone can use that knowledge base to improve their classification and extraction results but they
cannot access the documents or their data. If you have a knowledge base and you want to allow others access, you can generate a
knowledge base activation code
by following
these steps:
- In the Project Tree window, select a class that has trainable locators.
-
Optionally,
view the class contents if they are not
already displayed.
The hidden class contents are displayed.
-
Select the desired locator in the
Project Tree.
The Details window changes to display the relevant locator.
-
In the
Details window, right next to the locator method list, click
Properties.
Alternatively, right-click the locator in the Project Tree, and then click Locator Properties.
The locator properties window is displayed.
- Select the Knowledge Base tab.
- Select a password-protected knowledge base.
-
Click
Generate in the
Activation Code pane.
The Create Knowledge Base Activation Code window is displayed.
- Type the password of the knowledge base and the serial number from the customer hardware key.
-
Click
Create Activation Code.
The name of the Knowledge Base, the serial number of the hardware key or the software license, and the new activation code is displayed in the Knowledge Base License pane. This activation code can then be provided to the customer.
