Set up online learning

Online learning is a method of using unsuccessful document separation, classification, or extraction results to improve documents processed in the future. If a document is incorrectly separated or classified and then corrected during production, you can train that document so that subsequent similar documents are successfully separated and classified.

During project configuration, training documents can be added for one or both of the following types of online learning.

Document Separation and Classification Online Learning

This type of online learning is used to improve document separation and classification results for an entire project, but is restricted to projects that a Classification Group only. This type of online learning is not restricted to projects that contain trainable locators.

The Classification Set is used to train a project for document separation and classification during configuration.

Extraction Online Learning

This type of online learning is used to improve extraction results for a project. Extraction online learning is restricted to a specific set of trainable locators.

The Extraction Set is used to train a project for extraction during configuration.

Online learning is enabled in the General tab of the Project Settings. Depending on how you plan to use online learning, additional settings can be found in the Advanced Online Learning Options window.
