A2iA Output Path for Custom Subfield window

The A2iA Zone Locator is now deprecated and no longer supported. However, if you have used an A2iA Zone Locator in a previous release, it is possible to continue to use these locators at your own risk. The A2iA Zone Locator and the Check and Cursive Recognition engine remain for reference purposes only and are not meant for use in production.

Alternatively, you can migrate these locators to a supported locator method. To use or migrate an A2iA Zone Locator it is necessary to install the Check and Cursive Recognition Add-On.

When you migrate an A2iA Zone Locator, the following behavior occurs:

  1. If an A2iA Zone Locator is configured to use the CheckReader functionality, then it is migrated to a Check Locator.

  2. If an A2iA Zone Locator is configured to use the FieldReader functionality, it is migrated to an Advanced Zone Locator that uses the FormXtra recognition engine . If a single A2iA Zone Locator has multiple zones then multiple FormXtra zone profiles are created, one for each zone. This enables you to configure unique settings for each zone.

This window is displayed when you modify the A2iA Output Path field for an A2iA custom subfield. Select or enter the path that contains the value.

Tree View

The large field in the window displays a tree view with the hierarchy of results that may be recognized by the A2iA Zone Locator. Nodes that have branches attached are indicated by a plus (+) or minus (-) button. Click the button to expand or collapse the listing. Select the name of the node you want to use.

A2iA Output Path

This field displays the complete path of the node you selected from the tree. You can edit the field as needed.

If you select a node for an array, a placeholder ([?]) is displayed for the array index number. Replace the question mark inside the brackets with the correct array index, such as [1].

If the node is invalid, an icon is displayed. Mouse over the icon for more information.

If you select a node in the Tree View, any changes you made in the field are replaced by the selected node.

Definitions for the buttons at the bottom of this window can be found in Common Transformation Designer Buttons.
