Zone recognition and printer types
If the OmniPage recognition engine knows the type of font expected on a document in advance, you can improve the recognition accuracy. As a result, the OmniPage recognition engine enables project administrators to specify a print type when adding or modifying a recognition zone profile.
The following printer types are available for OmniPage zone profiles:
This does not mean that other recognition engines cannot recognize zones with these print type fonts. It does mean that if you can configure a zone to expect one of these fonts, recognition rates can improve.
