Cell Properties

The Cell Properties dialog box is available from the context menu of a table cell when you are in Table Editor Mode in the Touch Up Reading Order window. You can call Cell Properties on multiple cells, but attributes not matching among all the cells selected appear marked with a star and do not update as you click OK.

In this dialog box, you can manage table tagging related to cell type, header and data cell assignments, cell spanning, and cell ID attributes

• Type: Select the role of the cell:
  • Header Cell: For header cells, the Scope list is enabled, where you can select the region that belongs to the header:
    • Undefined (default)
    • Row
    • Column
    • Both
  • Data Cell: This is the default setting.
• Row Span: Select the number of cells to span vertically.
• Column Span: Select the number of cells to span horizontally.

• Cell ID: Enter or edit the ID of the cell.

  You need to fill the cell ID for header cells first to be able to assign them to data cells. To fill the header cell IDs automatically, close this dialog box and select the "Generate IDs to header cells" command in the context menu.

• Header IDs in table: Click Add to assign the cell or cells to the selected header ID. The ID then appears in the "Cell's Header IDs" list.
• Header IDs assigned: Lists the assigned header IDs. To unlock the assignment for the select header ID, click Delete.
